La Grange School District 102 is pleased to announce the formation of the Special Needs Advisory Panel. SNAP 102 will facilitate ongoing communication and collaboration between parents, staff members, and the district. Directed towards continuous improvement of special education services in La Grange District 102, the panel seeks members who are eager to support these efforts. The group will consist of two parents and one special education staff member per building, as well as three general educators within the district and a parent representative for students who are placed outside of the district. Additional staff and parent members may be added in order to ensure representation of the Connections and cross-categorical programs as well as general education. SNAP 102 will be co-chaired by the Assistant Superintendent for Special Education, Terry Sofianos
, and the Director of Special Education, Kateri Quiñónez
Meetings will be held at Park Junior High School on the following dates and times:
Monday, October 1st, from 4-6pm
Wednesday, December 5th, from 9-11am
Monday, January 28th, from 4-6pm
Wednesday, March 20th, from 9-11am
