Friday Night Live - Park Jr. High


Friday is the last FNL of the school year!  The PTC and FNL parents have worked tirelessly to make FNL a fantastic event for both 7th and 8th graders! The Student Council Executive Board wrote a song to promote the last one of the year!  Take a listen and we will see you there!


Illinois 5 Essentials Parent Survey

Dear District 102 Parent,
Beginning March 17, teachers, parents, and students across Illinois will have an opportunity to participate in the second annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of the inner workings of your child’s school.

District 102 Team Presenting in Washington DC

A team of District 102 educators will be presenting at the National Association of School Psychologists Annual Convention in Washington, D.C., February 18th-21st.
District 102 has a long history of developing the social and emotional (SEL) competencies of the whole child.  During the 2012-2013 school year, Forest Road School piloted a cutting-edge multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for SEL.

Mighty Patriots Sponsor Teacher Polar Plunge Fundraiser

We would like to announce an exciting fundraising event sponsored by the Mighty Patriots at Park Jr. High.
A group of 16 Park teachers and staff called “The Polar Patriots” have agreed to take the Polar Plunge into the icy waters of Lake Michigan in Evanston on February 22nd to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois in the name of the Mighty Patriots-Park’s very own Special Olympics basketball team!

Five-Year Financial Update

As we continue to strive for transparency with our community, I wanted to share the most recent PMA (leading provider of financial services to school districts) five-year financial projections.  We work with PMA yearly to provide us with updated projections.  I last shared these projections in January of this year.  PMA provides us with updates every December.  Any time you are looking at future scenarios, you need to understand the assumptions and what can affect these amounts when these assumptions change.
