District 102 is committed to a full-day-in-person schedule for the 2021-22 school year. The 2020-21 school year allowed us to observe and adjust practices as needed to provide a combination of in-person instruction and remote instruction consistently throughout the school year without pause or disruption to schedules. During this time, there were no noted school-related transmissions of COVID-19.
As positivity rates have continued to decline within our zip codes, over 80% of our staff have been vaccinated, and with COVID-19 vaccinations for students age 12 and above already in place, and with the exception that continued mitigation measures will be implemented, District 102 is moving forward with planning and expectation for full-day-in-person instruction in the Fall of 2021.

Three Park Junior High students (Paxton Culter, Addison Pelling, & Bradley Phan) worked as a team under the direction of Mrs. Joyce Fitch (of the SaltCreek Art Foundation) to create a video highlighting one painting in collection. Although they had to work around a lot of limitions because of COVID, the students persevered to produce an excellent video. The video premiered at Park Junior High on June 1st to an enthusiastic small group. The Talent Development Services Program is planning to continue this project of student-created videos for the Nettie McKinnon Art Gallery in 2021-2022 Please enjoy the video and learn about Village Scenery.
