Lunch and Breakfast Information
We have a new food service this year - Just a Dash.
The new lunch menu can be found at https://justadashcatering.nutrislice.com/menu/lagrange-sd-102 or on our district website. (Please note: the menu lists lunch on the first day of school, however that is a half day with 11:20 dismissal and no lunches will be served.)
The price of lunch will be $3.80 per day, with a reduced price of $1.90 for families that qualify for a reduced waiver.
Breakfast is available for all students beginning at 7:45 a.m. Students should enter through door #1, and should arrive by 8:00 a.m. to allow time to finish before school starts.
The price of breakfast is $2.15, with a reduced price of $1.10 for those who qualify.
Applications for free/reduced lunches and fee waivers are now available online.

Dear Families:
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming back to Congress Park! Self selecting books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the fair benefits our school by providing a birthday book for every child in our school and a variety of high interest books for classroom libraries and in our LRC.
Here’s what you need to know about our upcoming fair. Fair preview begins on Monday, August 26 with school shopping starting on Wednesday, August 28th. We will end our fair with optional family shopping during PTO’s Back to School Bash on Friday, August 30 from 6-8PM!
In addition to cash and credit, we will continue to offer Scholastic’s eWallet —a digital payment account option for your child. Before the fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share your child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy. Unspent funds from previous years can be applied as a gift card. Be sure to look for emails from Scholastic with step by step instructions.
If you can’t make it to the fair, you can shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.
Visit our Library Website at www.kamispatzek.com under Parent Links then Book Fair to view important information including the interactive book preview flyer, classroom shopping schedule, volunteer opportunities, and eWallet setup links.
Here’s some important tips from preview fairs:
Please send payment inside an envelope or bag labeled with your child’s first and last name AND teacher.
If selecting specific books from the flyer, please indicate whether we can substitute if the book is out of stock.
If you have a remaining eWallet balance from a previous fair, please be sure to sign use the SAME email address to add any additional funds
The countdown is on! Catch you at the fair!
Happy reading,
Kami Spatzek (spatzekka@dist102.k12.il.us)
