Dear Ogden Ave Students, Staff, and Families,
As the new Assistant Principal at Ogden Avenue School, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give back to the school and district that helped shape my early professional journey. Of my 19 years in LaGrange District 102, 10 were spent at Ogden, where I was a special education teacher. I also taught at Cossitt and Congress Park, and over the years, I developed a deep appreciation for the dedication of our educators, the strength of our supportive parent community, and the curiosity and resilience our students bring to the classroom each day.
For the past three years, I held the role of Pupil Services Administrator in Community Consolidated School District 181, supporting the communities of Hinsdale and Burr Ridge. In that role, I worked closely with a dedicated group of educators to implement systems and supports that promote student growth and ensure high-quality instruction for all learners. These leadership experiences broadened my perspective and deepened my commitment to inclusive education.
I’ve already had the opportunity to begin working with Principal Regina Leeberg and the district’s talented administrative team. Their dedication to students is truly inspiring, and I’m excited to support our shared goals. I’m especially looking forward to reconnecting with the Ogden community and partnering with staff, students, and families to support every child’s academic and social-emotional success. Maintaining high expectations, fostering a safe and welcoming environment, and building strong relationships are at the heart of my approach as a leader.
On a personal note, I’m a lifelong Chicagoan- born and raised on the South Side in Beverly- and now live in the West Loop. I enjoy cooking, traveling, and cheering on my five nieces and four nephews at their sporting events or visiting them on their college campuses.
Thank you for the warm welcome back. I’m honored to rejoin the Ogden team and excited to begin this new chapter!
