Every year, The Nora Project honors someone who has gone above and beyond to advance the mission of our organization.

While things may look a little different this year, The Nora Project is still excited to share that fourth-grade teacher, Kim Smith, has been selected as our 2025 Educator of the Year!

This honor is a reflection of her unwavering commitment to inclusion, leadership in District 102, and deep engagement with The Nora Project for the past six years.

As a dual-language teacher at Congress Park, Kim’s dedication to fostering empathy and understanding has been truly remarkable. She is also an integral member of our Educator Advisory Board and fiercely advocates for The Nora Project’s programming.

The Nora Project wouldn't be able to do our work without incredible educators like Kim Smith. Congratulations again, Kim, you deserve it!
