Peer connections had a wonderful time finding the pot go gold with the chocolate coins in them, making leprechaun crafts to hang on their doors at home, constructing their own shamrock shakes, and creating their own green art.
Yesterday the 7th Grade Blue Volleyball Team won 1st place at the Hodgkins Park District Volleyball Tournament. Congratulations on a well-deserved victory and thank you to everyone who came to the game and supported the team!
Geri Pasieka has been recognized by the Illinois State Board of Education for receiving the Award of Meritorious Service in the Educational Support Personnel category. The ISBE will host their 49th Annual Those Who Excel & Teacher of the Year Awards ceremony on April 29th, where Pasieka along with other stellar educators across the state will be honored and celebrated. Thank you Gerri for all the amazing work you do for our students!

There will be a Day of the Dead Celebration on Oct. 29, from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. hosted by the Montessori Children’s Community, Beach Avenue BBQ, and The Compassion Factory present Dia de Los Muertos Celebration/Day of the Dead. Our first annual celebration invites community members to create Ofrendas (offerings) to remember a loved one. We hope you can join us to experience this age-old tradition!
